Chris Russo and Dan Page win Best Appearing Car award in Topeka
(8-20-2011) CEDAR GROVE, NJ – Topeka, Kansas is a long way away from home for Russo Racing, but that was the site of the ADRL Kansas National Guard Independence Drags. Chris Russo and team made the long trek out from New Jersey to compete with their brand new Dan Page Race Cars built ‘69 Camaro. It was the first ADRL race with the NGK sponsored Pro Extreme Car for Russo and team.
“Like most race teams with a with a brand new ride we had a case of the new car blues,” said Russo. Drivetrain problems were the culprit, but the team’s frowns were turned upside down when the ADRL awarded Russo with the best appearing honors.” I did not think we would win this award on our first time out, but it is a testament to the workmanship of Dan Page. Dan is a true craftsman in every sence of the word. The paint was laid down by Rick Bell. The very clean and different paint scheme and artwork were designed by Bruce Deveau.”
“The 28 hour tow home was definitely a little shorter with winning this award,” said Russo. Russo Racing would like to thank United Electric of Myrtle Beach, NGK, Quest Racing and DMPE.
